Since traveling to South Africa last year, I have become simply smitten with malachite. While in Cape Town, my mother and I discovered a local treasure trove of a shop filled floor to ceiling with this magnificent mineral. From precious jewels to contemporary boxes, the intense green tones and contrasting colored bands called my name. So what piece did I select you ask?
